Persimmons are a beloved fruit in the Southern United States, but California grows equally bright, sweet, remarkable variations.
We source our persimmons from the top growers around the state, when the fruit ripens in late fall. With a skin that varies in color, from fiery, tomato-red to dark orange, the flavor across the board is wonderfully sweet with very delicate tart notes on the finish. Our crisps light up a plate or a picnic basket, thanks to an intense orange color and a sugary, almost floral fragrance.
